Donald W. Schank

Donald W. Schank is basically retired, just doing what he finds interesting. His story in the first BAF was his first submitted short story and first fiction sale. He is better known for his art than his writing, and from the early 1980s through the early 2000s hundreds of his illustrations (plus poems, book reviews, and one interview) appeared in genre small press magazines, anthologies, and books. He has won various awards and ribbons for his art, and over the years has shown his artwork with various local art groups and had a one-man show at his alma mater. He is currently trying to consolidate all his work into a cohesive whole for inclusion in his college archives, the first such collection of creative work accepted by the college. His retirement is being spent in lots of reading, working around the house, and -- when the urge strikes -- working on his art, writing, and music.

He lives in New Jersey with his wife of almost 30 years, two dogs, two guinea pigs, and thousand on thousands of books, DVDs, teddy bears, and various other collections. He has never bothered to set up a website, but can be contacted at Schankmaridon@aol.com.
